An interactive generator for Settlers of Catan boards, standard 3-4 player and expanded 5-6 player games, with configurable fairness rules for adjacent 6/8 tokens, identical numbers, matching resources, and neighboring deserts.

The original random-retry generation choked under strict fairness settings, so I rebuilt it as a backtracking algorithm that prunes invalid layouts early. Even the tightest rule combinations resolve reliably now.

About

I sit in the overlap between engineering and design, comfortable shipping a Grails migration in the morning and arguing about letter-spacing in the afternoon.

I studied computer science at Bellevue College, then went straight at both sides of the craft: full-stack government systems at Pierce County Finance, and ChegTech (my own studio) where I design, build, and rank sites for local service businesses across the country.

It comes down to speed and clarity. A site should load in a blink, read effortlessly, and earn its place in search results. The same discipline behind good code produces good design.
